  38. Not quite true.  In fact, not at all true.  There is no flash rom update
  39. that will change a jumpered modem into a Plug and Play modem.  The board
  40. designs are different.  Specifically, the PnP modems have a Plug and Play
  41. chip on them.

  43. I can only assume that you are thinking of our external SupraFAXModem
  44. 288.  Recent flash rom code did add Serial Plug and Play to that modem. 
  45. However, that is not the same as adding Plug and Play capability to an
  46. internal modem.

  48. Summary:  You cannot add Plug and Play capability to a SupraFAXModem 288i
  49. via  a flash rom update.
